RoboSweep: As Seen on TV
The Robosweep has been seen on many late night infomercials and is advertised as being a great alternative to having to vacuum your floors yourself. Robosweep goes to work keeping your floors clean for you, and its futuristic design makes it an attractive buy to any gadget savvy person who is looking for the next great thing in home cleaning.
Unlike robotic vacuums, this machine is only meant to sweep hard floors. The way it works is you attach a micro fiber wipe to the bottom of the Robosweep with the included Velcro straps. You would then place it in the center of the room and switch it on. From there, it will sweep back and forth, picking up dirt from the floor using the micro fiber wipes.
The unit includes four double a rechargeable batteries as well as an adapter so that it can be easily recharged without having to take the batteries out of the machine. It works hard to sweep your floors for you, but one of the down sides is that it only works on hard surfaces. It is useless on carpet, but might be an attractive option for people with mainly hardwood or linoleum flooring.
Unfortunately, the Robosweep only comes with fifty wipes, and you require these wipes in order for the machine to continue to work. It cannot work without them ,as they are what picks up the dirt from the floors. The good news is that these wipes are not very expensive and can be purchased conveniently online.
The Robosweep is really easy to use and can help you maintain a dust free environment. Once the automatic sweeper has completed the room, all you need to do is remove the wipe and throw it away. Similar to a Swiffer sweeper, but you don’t have to do any of the work other than placing the wipe on and taking it off when the machine is done the sweeping.
In today’s age of automatic cleaning robots, this one is on the very low end. Other robotic vacuums have suction that cleans carpets as well as hard floors with ease. In no time at all, your floors are cleaned with these models. However, if you are looking for a very inexpensive alternative and an entry level product for automated home cleaning, then this little sweeping machine will do the trick. Later on down the road, you can always upgrade to a more fully functioning model that does carpets as well.
This handy little sweeper will help keep your hard floors clean, but that is all it will do. With a lack of features and additional options, this machine should only be considered if you only have hard floors and are willing to keep up with the use of wipes.
Robosweep can be a wonderful tool for any home that has mostly hard floors. If you have a lot of carpeted areas in your home, this little tool isn’t going to be able to do anything. However, it does what it says it does.
